Breaking Up is Hard To Do

November 16 - January 14, 2018

Set at a Catskills resort in 1960, this is the sweetly comic story of Lois and Marge, two friends from Brooklyn in search of adventure and romance one wild Labor Day weekend. Marge has just been jilted at the altar and doesn’t want to be “Solitaire” so Lois convinces Marge that the two of them should use her honeymoon reservations at Esther’s Paradise Resort Hotel, because that is “Where The Boys Are”.  When they meet a handsome crooner and geeky cabana boy who secretly writes songs, their search for romance becomes even more bewildering. Meanwhile, the resort owner and her house comic realize they’ve been living right “Next Door To An Angel” for years. The nostalgia, music, and laughter keep on rolling in this comedy as the cast belts out Neil Sedaka’s greatest hits including “Sweet Sixteen,” “Stupid Cupid,” “Calendar Girl,” “Laughter In The Rain,” and the title song — just for starters!

With a script by Erik Jackson and Ben E. Winters, music by Neil Sedaka and lyrics by Neil Sedaka, Howard Greenfield and Philip Cody, the audience will become a part of the resort go on a toe-tapping, heart-tugging trip down memory lane. Some of them will even wind up onstage!

Rated PG.
