     Good Company Players will present DOUBT, A Parable from August 14 to October 12 at their arena theater, The 2nd Space.

      John Patrick Shanley's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama will make available an audience Talk Back following each performance.

     Set in the 1960s, Shanley's play tells the story of a collision between a formidable nun, Sister Aloysius, and a new young priest sent to her parish parochial school.

Sister Aloysius (TESSA CAVALLETTO) explains to Sister James (ABBY SAGER, seated) the error of her ways.

     A younger nun and the mother of one of the school's students are part of the "collateral damage" when these two strong personalities engage. 

     Sister Aloysius suspects something is not quite right about Father Flynn's interest in a young boy in their care.

     At a time when priests had absolute authority over even the longest-serving nuns, she has to explore her suspicions carefully. And even if she is right, the hierarchy may not support her.

     DOUBT will play without an intermission. Following the performance, members of the production team will meet with anyone in the audience interested in staying to discuss the show.

Father Flynn (MICHAEL OLDHAM) seeks understanding from Sister James (ABBY SAGER).

Cast Members

     Good Company's production, directed by Denise Graziani, features Tessa Cavalletto as Sister Aloysius, Mike Oldham as Father Flynn, and Abby Sager as Sister James.

    Christina Huerta and Teresa Gipson will split the run of the show in the role of Mrs. Muller.

Showtimes & Prices

      DOUBT, A Parable, plays at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, 8:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Mrs. Muller (CHRISTINA HUERTA) has come in for a conference about her son with Sister Aloysius (TESSA CAVALLETTO). Huerta will play Mrs. Muller for the first half of the run of "DOUBT".

     Ticket prices for all performances are $15.00 general admission, with a student/senior rate of $14.00.

     The 2nd Space Theatre is at 928 E. Olive Avenue, at Olive and Van Ness.
